Luca Galizia, aka Generic Animal, often uses characters created ad hoc for each album or single from his drawings in his musical projects. For the communication around the ‘Mondo Rosso’ EP, in 2023, the designed character is a Red Giant, depicted together with visual artist Christian Kondic with ever-so-slightly different appearances.
Each image of the Gigante Rosso is generated with artificial intelligence by Kondic, starting from some of Galizia’s original drawings, keeping the monstrous features, the red colour and the rural setting unchanged, but always modifying the likeness. The red giant is then transformed into a mask, featured in photographs, music videos and performances.
