Grim Reaper is one of those NWOBHM bands that never got the acclaim that Iron Maiden, or even lesser known bands like Saxon got, but has remained a well-loved cult classic among the fans of this unique movement. A figure of the Grim Reaper appears on all album covers throughout their discography, and unlike most of these, there is no perplexing mythology or a real life anecdote behind it. Perhaps the Reaper’s image speaks for itself clearly enough. He first appeared on the band’s debut album “See You in Hell” from 1983.
